Greetings Jason – I am grateful for your post today re: “family gratitude.” Two thoughts: I have been thinking about composing a brief narrative history of the Beddow family particularly in order for our grandchildren (Jana’s kids) to know about from whence they came. Most importantly, I want them to know about my mother, their great grandmother, who was an angelic star who did not have the opportunity “to be all that she could be.” Hopefully her story can serve as an encouragement for them “to be all that they can be.” You have inspired me to finally get at this! Secondly, the picture of your brother captures your expression of his impact on your life. Peaking out from underneath his sweat shirt is his t-shirt with the inscription “The Miracle League.” No doubt, there is a powerful story there! Lastly, I am grateful for getting to know you a bit through the tennis journey of our families. Best wishes as you continue to offer others a piece of your journey.
Jim Beddow
